Harley has a Bachelor of Science with a focus in Child and Family Studies from Tarleton State University as well as a Master of Business Administration from the same University. She is currently pursuing a degree in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling from Lamar University. Harley considers herself a lifelong learner and is always looking for new opportunities to learn and expand her knowledge to help others.
Before joining TCFR, Harley worked within the nonprofit side of foster care in the state of Texas for over five years, developing and case managing foster families. She has experience with working with children with trauma and families taking on new challenges. As a future Licensed Professional Counselor, Harley’s approaches include both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused techniques.
She believes in the power of naming feelings and working towards goals. She believes in showing compassion and empathy in the counseling relationship while also being light-hearted with a sense of humor. Her areas of interest in therapy include individuals, young adults, couples parenting with children, anxiety, and support during new life changes. In her free time, Harley can be found playing with her two doodles, drinking a cup of coffee, or spending time with her family. She also enjoys a good book and sweet treat!
