Sarah Graham is a Graduate Counseling Intern at the Center for Relationships. She is currently pursuing a degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Lamar University. Sarah’s goal as a counselor is to help her clients find effective solutions that honor their unique perspectives. She believes in decreasing shame to experience emotional authenticity. As a future Licensed Professional Counselor, Sarah’s focus is on solution-focused techniques as well as cognitive behavioral approaches. She enjoys helping her clients create change. She has experience working with neurodivergent individuals.
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Brandeis University with a focus on Sociology and Environmental Studies. She is a certified teacher and has taught elementary and middle school science in both public and private schools, as well as math, gardening, and nature skills. Her areas of interest in therapy include individuals, couples, co-parents, families with children living with disabilities, and neurodivergence.
In her free time, Sarah can be found spending time with her two daughters and partner, or gardening, hiking, or reading. Her family’s obsession is their perfect toy poodle named Twig. She is refueled by spending time in nature. Sarah is working on a long-term project to see all of the National Parks. She is also a certified prenatal yoga instructor and rescue diver.
